1. The WONDERfools

Release Date: May 15, 2026

Kang Eun-kyung, who created Dr. Romantic, is back with her new show, The Wonderfools, a superhero action comedy on Netflix. Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Cha Eun-woo (A Good Day to Be a Dog) play the lead roles in the show.

The show is set in Haeseong in 1999 and is about a girl named Eun Chae-ni (Park) who lives with her grandmother, Kim Jeon-bok (Kim Hae-sook, Strong Girl Nam-soon) and gets a strange talent after something strange happens.

The people who live next door to her, Son Kyung-hoon (Choi Dae-hoon, When Life Gives You Tangerines) and Kang Ro-bin (Im Sung-jae, The Worst of Evil), also have strange new skills.

Cha plays Lee Woon-jung, a socially awkward government worker who moves from Seoul to Haeseong and starts to look into a recent string of disappearances. (May 15 on Netflix)

2. My Royal Nemesis

Lim Ji-yeon got praise for her intense performance in The Tale of Lady Ok. In May’s first new K-drama, My Royal Nemesis, she is back in a period drama role. That is, until her character, Kang Dan-sim, is taken from the Joseon era to present-day Seoul in this dream show.

In Joseon, Dan-sim was known as a sneaky bad girl, and for her crimes, she was finally given the death penalty by poison. When she wakes up, she is in the year 2026 and in the body of an actor named Shin Seo-ri.

3. The Legend of Kitchen Soldier

Ji-hoon Ark is currently stealing the show in Korean theaters with his role in The King’s Warden, the second-most-watched Korean movie of all time with over 16 million viewers. He will be back on TV in The Legend of Kitchen Soldier, a military comedy about food.

He plays the part of Kang Seong-jae, a soldier who is sent to the Gangrim Post. Even though he did really well in training camp, his bad past holds him back, and he is put in charge of cooking.

Suddenly, a virtual task system that looks like a game pops up in front of him. He gets a lot better at cooking as he completes his cooking tasks.

4. Azure Spring

In this show, Yeri from the girl band Red Velvet plays Anna, a young woman with severe anxiety that has made it hard for her to get a job. The show is similar to Little Forest and other healing stories that take place in rural areas.
