There haven’t been many people going to see Kapil Sharma’s new movie Daadi Ki Shaadi yet. Even though people were looking forward to seeing the movie, it didn’t even make it to ₹1 crore on its first day. Early figures from the trade say that the movie made about ₹60 lakh in India on its first day, which is one of the slowest starts in Kapil Sharma’s film career.

People were interested in the comedy-drama because it was about a family and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s first time acting in a Bollywood movie. However, the first answer from viewers was still less than expected, which caused many cinemas across the country to have low attendance rates.

Poor attendance at morning shows

According to reports, a lot of morning and afternoon shows had very few viewers. In some places, shows were allegedly cancelled because not enough people had signed up. Early sales that were not very good suggested that the opening would be slow, but the real numbers were even worse than expected.

Trade experts say the movie didn’t get much attention before it came out and didn’t do very well with promotions. While Kapil Sharma is very popular on TV and online, that fame did not fully translate into movie house attendance for the release.

The movie now relies a lot on coming out over the weekend. The movie might have a rough time at the box office if sales don’t get a lot better on Saturday and Sunday.

Kapil Sharma is having another tough time on the big screen

Kapil Sharma has been the king of comedy on TV for years and is still one of India’s favourite performers. He has loyal fans all over the country because of how funny he is and how good he is at hosting. His work in movies, on the other hand, has had mixed effects over the years.

His first movie, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, did well at the box office and got good reviews from viewers. But he had trouble making his later projects as successful. Firangi didn’t do well at the box office, and Zwigato got good reviews but didn’t do well at the box office.

Since Daadi Ki Shaadi also had a weak start, people in the business are once again wondering if Kapil Sharma’s fame works better in TV shows and streaming movies than in theatres.

People on social media have also had different responses. Some fans liked how the movie was a fun, lighthearted family movie, but others thought it was old and lacked emotional depth.

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Starts Her Acting Career

One of the most talked-about things about the movie was that it was Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s first time performing. She started playing when she was 45 years old. Her father was the late actor Rishi Kapoor, and her brother is the Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor.

Fans of the Kapoor family were very interested in her when she started acting in movies. A lot of people liked how graceful she was on TV and how sure she was of herself in front of the camera. But people’s opinions of her show have been all over the place.

There is also a big part for the experienced actor Neetu Kapoor in the movie, which gives Bollywood fans another emotional link. The movie also has Sadia Khateeb, Sarath Kumar, Nikhat Hegde, and Tejaswini Kolhapure in it, along with Kapil Sharma and Riddhima.

The movie, which was directed by Ashish R. Mohan, is about a wedding and tries to mix comedy, emotion, and family drama.

This weekend’s performance is very important

Even though it opened slowly, the people who made it are still hoping that good word of mouth will spread over the weekend. Family artists can sometimes see slow growth if the story touches people deeply.

But other movies coming out soon and changing tastes in the audience could make it hard to recover. The movie needs a big increase in ticket sales to keep going strong in theatres.

Kapil Sharma has passed another important test in his film career with Daadi Ki Shaadi. Over the next few days, it will become clearer whether the movie is able to get better or continues to have trouble.
