A businessman identified as Vaishak was found dead at the Bengaluru residence of Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda, triggering an active police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities suspect the death to be a case of suicide, though officials said inquiries are still ongoing.

Police stated that the incident took place in Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar area while the actor was reportedly away in Yelahanka. Investigators also revealed that the deceased had allegedly been dealing with depression and personal difficulties in recent months.

Incident Took Place at Rajarajeshwari Nagar Residence

According to police officials, the incident occurred at around 8:30 pm on the previous night at the residence of Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru.

Authorities said the actor was not present at the house at the time and was reportedly staying in Yelahanka when the incident took place.

The deceased was identified as Vaishak, a businessman who had reportedly been staying at the actor’s residence for nearly a week before his death. Police officials reached the location after receiving information about the incident and began preliminary investigations at the scene.

Following initial examination procedures, the body was shifted to Victoria Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Investigators said further details regarding the exact cause of death would become clearer after medical and forensic reports are completed.

No Suicide Note Found During Investigation

Police officials confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene during the initial search of the residence.

Authorities stated that investigators are currently examining all available evidence, statements, and circumstances related to the incident to determine what led to the businessman’s death.

Officials said the absence of a suicide note means investigators will rely heavily on witness statements, forensic findings, and the deceased’s recent activities to piece together the sequence of events.

Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police are expected to complete legal procedures connected to the case before the body is handed over to the family members after the post-mortem examination.

Vaishak Was Reportedly Battling Depression

During the course of the investigation, police learned that Vaishak had reportedly been undergoing treatment for depression.

Authorities also stated that he had been dealing with personal and family-related issues in recent weeks.

Investigators said the businessman had allegedly been living separately from his wife for nearly a month following repeated disputes between the couple.

Police are examining these developments as part of their effort to understand the mental and emotional circumstances surrounding the incident.

Officials have not yet released additional information regarding his treatment or personal matters, but they indicated that these aspects form an important part of the ongoing inquiry.

Family Members Expected to Submit Complaint

Police sources said family members of the deceased are expected to file a formal complaint regarding the death.

Once the complaint is received, Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police are likely to formally register the case and continue further legal and procedural investigation.

Authorities stated that statements from family members and individuals known to the deceased could play a significant role in helping investigators understand the events leading up to the incident.

Earlier Investigation Linked Vaishak to Extortion Case

Vaishak had earlier come under police scrutiny in connection with a high-profile extortion and threat-letter case involving businessman and advocate Aravind Reddy.

According to investigators, a threatening letter demanding Rs 6-7 crore along with an apology had allegedly been sent to Reddy through a courier service in February.

HAL Police later arrested Vaishak during the investigation, alleging that he had sent the threatening letter in connection with a dispute involving a woman.

Police officials had taken him into custody and questioned him for five days as part of the probe before he was later released.

The case had attracted attention because of the allegations connected to extortion and intimidation involving a well-known businessman and advocate.

Police officials emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing and that all possible angles are being reviewed carefully.

Police Continue Probe Into Circumstances of Death

Authorities said investigators are continuing efforts to determine the exact circumstances leading to Vaishak’s death.

Police teams are expected to collect additional statements, examine forensic evidence, and review the businessman’s recent activities and communications.

Officials stated that the findings of the post-mortem examination would play an important role in establishing further details in the case.

The investigation also includes reviewing the timeline of events leading up to the incident and verifying information provided by individuals connected to the deceased.

At present, authorities have not announced any conclusions regarding the case and said inquiries are still in progress.
