The India Bike Week (IBW) always has been the Mecca for petrolheads and it was no different at the 2025 edition in Panchgani. The Italian brand that has already made a favourite entry into India refreshed its most successful India sojourn in the noise of revving engines and smoky rubber Aprilia updated. The RS 457 continues as a premium yet approachable supersport positioned slightly below larger capacity rivals and receives styling that now brings it closer to its full-sized brothers.

The mechanical beast that exists at the heart of it is left as is, however the three new colour schemes — which Kawasaki announced at Goodwood would be available through next year, but subject to availability and regional allocation — are intended to make a statement, whether you’re riding for racing or on-road glory. The new 2026-spec Aprilia RS 457 palette, explained Here’s all you need to know about the updated Aprilia RS 457_palette..

Three New Identities: The 2026 Colour Palette

Aprilia has chosen these new colours, in order to pay homage to the racing spirit that is synonymous with the brand name, and have provided something for all tastes and types of rider – from the ‘stealth’ fan to the ‘flashy’ racer.

Racing Replica (The MotoGP Tribute)

Easily the most talked about of all the revelations at IBW 2025 was Racing Replica livery. Derived from the Aprilia RS-GP MotoGP bikes, this livery sports the trademark black base, complete with red and violet highlights. It’s not just a cosmetic one either – this version is being touted as the “premium” option.

Added Value: In addition to the standard colours, the Racing Replica features a Quickshifter as standard equipment and adjustable brake and clutch levers.

Snake Blue (The Flashy Contender)

For the peeps who probably thought the original colours were a little tame, we give you Snake Blue. This colorway is largely inspired by the larger RS 660’s “Blue Marlin” livery. It comes with a high gloss blue finish with bright red graphics and red colored alloys. It provides the RS 457 an “international” supersport appearance that seems a lot more expensive than this bike’s price would indicate.

Arsenic Yellow (Modern Minimalism)

The third addition, Arsenic Yellow, is both sophisticated and sporty. It opts to go with a black, almost charcoal-grey base accented with neon yellow graphics. Like the Snake Blue, this one also has those attention-grabbing red rims which give an excellent contrast to its livery; and together with the Navy livery that silver red combination look aggressive even when parked.

What These Updates Mean For Indian Riders

In the cut-throat 400cc–500cc class, many times looking sexy is as important as actual horsepower. With the new horses to race and never-ending development by KTM on the RC 390, there has been a need to keep RS fresh too.

In doing so, Aprilia is really taking advantage of a “Brand Halo” effect. By giving entry-level riders the sense of ownership for a “middleweight” looking bike, by making the RS 457 almost look like the RS 660. Moreover, the decision to offer the Quickshifter as standard on the Racing Replica version is in response to what has been one of the most frequent demands from the Indian biking ecosystem.

Performance Remains the Same: The Numbers at a Glance

Although the name fits a modern design, the same cannot be said for Aprilia’s new dimension of performance as the RS 457 is more or less that high-performance beast everyone fell in love with last year. That motorcycle still sets the standard for its power-to-weight ratio.

Expected Launch and Pricing

Aprilia India will introduce these new colour options at showrooms across the country by January 2026. Price-wise, the Snake Blue and Arsenic Yellow could retails at around ₹4.10 lakh to ₹4.15 lakh (ex-showroom), the same as it is sold for right now on ex-showroom level across all cities.

The Racing Replica version though should have a price tag of about ₹15,000-₹20,000 more than the regular 790 Duke because it comes with factory-fitted Quickshifter and adjustable levers. For a large majority of fans, that’s probably not too much to ask for the “full” track-prepped experience.
