Once again leading the way in home entertainment, Samsung is bringing its innovative LED visual display technology to the consumer market. Heading into 2026, the tech giant is delivering on that promise with a major expansion of its Micro RGB TV lineup, and making what was “ultra-luxury” tech standard enough to fit in your living room.

Samsung expands premium

Though the technology launched in the enormous 115-inch size, five new sizes are coming to 2026: 55, 65, 75, 85 and a TV-sized-for-any-room-hotel room friendly-100 inches. This is not simply a story about making bigger screens; it’s also one about bringing the world’s most advanced LED technology to a much broader audience.

Why Micro RGB Matters: The Science Behind It

To see why this expansion is such a game changer, look under the hood. In classic LED TVs, the white or blue backlight is filtered through color sheets. In the latter’s case, Samsung is using Micro RGB to do away with that and uses sub-100μm red, green and blue LEDs which emit their own light individually.

That lack of a traditional backlight “middleman” allows these TVs to achieve:

Precision Dimming: As each individual LED in the TV can be controlled, it is able to produce deep blacks adjacent to bright highlights without the “blooming” that occurs in regular displays.

Full Colour Spectrum: VDE certified, the range delivers 100% of the BT. 2020 color gamut. That means the colors you see are actually more true-to-life and punchier than almost any other consumer display on the scene.

More Intelligent with AI Engine Pro

The hardware is one thing, software another. These new models are being powered by the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro. This next-gen chip is what it takes to process the 8K data you need for frame-by-frame clarity.

Key AI features include:

  • 4K AI Upscaling Pro: Whether you’re watching old favorites or it’s the latest movies in 8K quality, standard definition pictures can be taken to near-Ultra 4k image quality which retains the detail from the original picture.
  • AI Motion Enhancer Pro Supported by the neurons, this feature clears motion blur to enhance sharper and smoother fast-paced sports or gaming contents.
  • Vision AI Companion: A fresh multi-agent architecture featuring Samsung’s Large Language Models (LLMs). Users can have natural voice dialogue with Bixby for their searching, QA and generative wallpaper.

A Haven From Glare and Noise

One of the most useful features added to the 2026 is Glare Free technology. This special screen coating based on Samsung’s flagship OLED series creates a very low reflection of light from the windows or lamps in your room. This way you won’t have to pull the curtains closed when trying to discern what is going on in a dark movie scene.

Going with audio, Samsung is debuting Eclipsa Audio. This brand new spatial sound system is designed to give you the 3D audio feel, without having to have a dozen external speakers. The soundbar and TV speakers operate together simultaneously for a truly immersive soundscape, and sound comes from the precise location on screen creating an enhanced cinematic experience.

Reshaping the Premium TV Landscape

Bringing Micro RGB down to 55 and 65 inches, the leading sizes in many of today’s homes, is Samsung’s direct bid against high-end OLEDs. Final pricing for the smaller units hasn’t been set, but with the expansion it seems likely that we will see a richer array of price points then the eye-popping $30,000 outlay made on the original/smallest 115 inch model.

Samsung will officially debut the complete 2026 range at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. We would expect to see finalized specs and the first look at some of these screens in action, in real world settings.
