Indian creator Sakshi Sindwani, who specializes in fashion-related content, made history during the 68th Grammy Awards held on February 1st 2026 in Los Angeles as she was the first Indian digital creator to attend these historic awards. This event signals a new era for India’s Creator Ecosystem as they are being recognized as a part of Global Entertainment.

As the Grammys has long been known as a major platform within the musical industry, they were typically attended by artists, executives and celebrities, but now with digital creators being recognized on a global cultural platform, they also have access to major cultural milestone events like the Grammys.

Although Sindwani is a fashion and beauty influencer who does not primarily work in the music industry, her large following on social media as well as her ability to create entertaining social media content, she received her invitation to attend through a partnership with Johnnie Walker which showcases a shift on how the industry is viewing their role as creators in global cultural events.
