After being found not guilty in the high profile Delhi booze policy case on Thursday, Arvind Kejriwal broke down in tears. As soon as the ruling was given, Kejriwal spoke to the media and his fans. He was crying, calling the decision a win for truth.

The head of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said he had full faith in the courts and had done nothing wrong. He called himself kattar imaandaar, which means staunchly honest.  As the intense scene played out in front of the cameras, party workers gathered outside the court to cheer and yell chants in his support.

When Kejriwal talked about how hard things had been for him and his party during the investigation, his voice cracked.

The court frees Kejriwal in the liquor policy case

The case was about the tax policy in Delhi, which was later thrown out because it caused a lot of political problems. Some of the groups that looked into it were the Central Bureau of Investigation. Some people said that the words used to write and enforce the drinking policy were not correct.

But Kejriwal was not charged with the crime because there wasn’t enough proof. He was found not guilty in the case. The decision marks a major shift in the long running scandal that has been the talk of politics in Delhi and around the world. The AAP government was struggling with the spirits policy, which was attracting harsh criticism from opposition leaders.

He says, Truth Has Won

As soon as Kejriwal left the courtroom, he said that the ruling made him even more sure that the truth would win in the end. He said that he never lost faith in the court system, even though he was under a lot of stress and was accused of major crimes.

He told them again and again, his eyes filled with tears, that he was honest and had always worked for the people of Delhi. He said that the investigation had worn him out mentally and physically, but he stayed positive because he knew he had not done anything wrong.

The head of the AAP also thanked his fans for being there for him during what he called a tough time. Party members were happy with the decision and said it was a big relief for the leaders.

A Strong Attack on Shah and Modi

In his response to the decision, Kejriwal also made a strong political attack on Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said they were after him and his party for political reasons.

Kejriwal said that agents of the central government were pushing party leaders around. He said the case was part of a broader plan to damage his party’s reputation. His comments quickly gave the legal win a political edge.

The words are expected to make the political fight between the AAP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) even worse. The case about the booze policy had already caused a lot of trouble between the two sides.

Effects on politics and the public

The court’s decision is seen as a big win for Kejriwal and his party. The case about the booze policy left a long shadow over the Delhi government and changed its political story.

People who agreed with the decision said it was a moment of justice and approval. Many people were happy outside the court, calling it a victory for honesty.

The main answer from Kejriwal showed how much the court battle was hurting him. The fact that he fell in public showed how much the case hurt him. By calling himself kattar imaandaar again, he sought to reinforce the impression that he is an honest leader.

The decision not only helps people legally, but also changes how politicians talk about the unpopular tax policy. Now that the court has cleared Kejriwal’s name, he is ready to move forward in politics while continuing to fight his opponents.

Both sides are likely to have strong political responses in the coming days, but for now, the focus remains on the dramatic moment in court when an emotional Kejriwal said the truth had finally won.
