A big security breach at the Delhi Assembly shocked the officials when a car broke through barriers to get into the high security building. The event happened on April 6 when a car drove through Gate No. 2, which is usually only for VIPs.
Reports say the car passed several levels of security, including roadblocks and the main gate, before entering the complex. People were worried right away as the Assembly is thought to be one of the safest places in the national capital.
Officials and security staff who were at the spot were scared when the breach happened. It also showed how a car could drive through such a dangerous area without being stopped in time. The situation quickly got the attention of the officials, who took immediate action.
Strange Things Going On Inside The Building
The driver did something strange when he got out of the Assembly building after going inside. Before leaving the building, he put a bouquet in the car of the Assembly Speaker.
Even though it only lasted a few minutes, it was enough to trigger a major security warning. Later, CCTV video showed that the man went in, did the act, and then left without any instant problems.
The police confirmed that there was no bomb or other dangerous item in the car. But the breach itself was seen as very strange as to where it happened and how it happened. The issue was taken very seriously, even though there was no direct danger.

The suspect was caught and arrested
The driver of the car was named Sarabjit Singh, and he lives in Uttar Pradesh. He was later arrested along with two other people who had something to do with the case.
Police searched right away after the breach and quickly caught the person they were looking for. Another thing that was taken away for further study is the car that was used in the accident.
The accused allegedly gave vague and confusing answers when he was being questioned about what he did. In one story, he said he was looking for a lost family member, but in another, he didn’t seem sure what he was trying to do. The probe has become more difficult as of these comments.
Security holes are being looked at closely
The event showed that the Delhi Assembly’s security system has major holes. Officials and experts are now wondering how a single car got through several layers of security without being stopped.
Trained people are in charge of security at the Assembly, and strict rules are usually followed. Even so, the breach has made people wonder how well these steps really work.
The event has also brought to light problems with how quickly people can respond. Many people think that if the security staff had acted faster, they could have stopped the car from getting into the building or at least kept things under control earlier.
This has caused more people to talk about how important it is to look at and improve current processes. In these kinds of sensitive places, even a small mistake can be very dangerous.

Start of the investigation and security review
After the leak, the government began a thorough review to find out what went wrong. A high level investigation has been asked to look into what happened and find any holes in the security system.
The police are now looking into whether the act was intentional or just careless driving. However, the events that happened—a driver in a mask, a bouquet, ink thrown on the Speaker’s car, and a planned exit—strongly suggest that the act was intentional.
The event has made people very worried about how secure the building really is. After getting a bomb threat via email on March 25, during the just-ended Budget Session, the Delhi Assembly was already under more strict security. In that message, it was said that 16 homemade bombs made of RDX had been hidden inside the building, which made police check it right away.
The breach on Monday has made things even more dangerous. The car got past several layers of protection, including roadblocks and the gate itself, before it got to the part of the complex where the Speaker’s office is. The fact that a car got this close to a constitutional institution in the middle of the national capital without being stopped is something that security services will have to explain.
Satish Golchha, the commissioner of police in Delhi, also went to the Delhi Assembly building to talk to his subordinates and get first-hand information. The reason for the act is still being looked into.
