Police say that the event happened on June 14 at her home in the Sai Santoshi Building in Aachole Village, Nalasopara East.
Assistant Police Inspector Vinod Bagh of the Achole Police Station said that between 7 pm and 7:30 pm, Sanchita locked herself in her bedroom and hung herself from a ceiling fan with a saree.
People in her family and the area rushed her to the Vasai Virar Municipal Hospital, but doctors already said she was dead when they got there.
When the police heard about what happened, they went to the scene and did what needed to be done.
Before the body was sent for a post-mortem study, an inquiry report was written.
Based on a report from her father, Machhindra Ugale, the Achole Police filed an Accidental Death Report on June 15 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.
The police have said they haven’t yet determined the exact cause of the event.
The police are looking into the case from every angle, and further investigations are underway.
