The country was shocked and shocked when someone opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Donald Trump and other high-ranking officials were there. Police investigating the case have now found that the accused shooter, 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, wrote a 1,056-word screed in which he explained why he did what he did.
After catching the shooter who broke into a dinner party where US President Donald Trump was present, police had one question: why did he do it?
Police nabbed 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen on April 25 after he broke through the heavily guarded White House Correspondents’ Dinner and opened fire on the president, First Lady Melania Trump, top officials, and hundreds of well-dressed guests.
Now, police have found what they are calling Allen’s “written manifesto,” in which he made it clear that he wanted to kill Trump administration leaders. He signed it as Cole “coldforce” “Friendly Federal Assassin Allen” and it has 1,052 words. The 31-year-old man from Torrance, California, wrote in the document about his “rules of engagement” for the killing and said he thought it was his moral duty to target government leaders.
Cole Tomas Allen is a suspect in the shooting at the Trump party
Let’s take a closer look at Allen’s life before we get into the statement he left behind. A master’s degree in computer science from California State University, Dominguez Hills was earned by the person from Torrance. Allen’s teacher said, “He is a very good student. He always sits in the first row of my class, pays attention, and emails me a lot with questions about his work.” Very quiet, very nice, and a good guy.
On his LinkedIn page, the suspect says that he is a “degreed mechanical engineer and computer scientist, experienced independent game developer, and born teacher.”
Federal campaign finance records show that he also gave $25 to a Democratic Party political action group to support Kamala Harris for president in 2024.

A letter sent to his family
Allen has been arrested and will be tried later today (April 27). According to police, he sent his statement to his family about 10 minutes before the attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton.
FBI sources told CBS News that Allen’s brother called police in Connecticut on Saturday night to tell them about the scary email he and other family members got.
Other works were found at his home in Torrance, California, and in his hotel room on the 10th floor of the Washington Hilton Hotel, where the dinner was being held.
Allen wrote in the letter he sent to his family, “So I may have given a lot of people a surprise today.”
“I’m sorry I told my parents I had an interview without saying it was for ‘Most Wanted,'” he wrote. He also told his coworkers and students he was sorry for telling them he had a personal emergency. He said he thought by the time anyone read the email, he would probably need emergency care and called any possible injuries a “self-inflicted status.”

Putting Trump officials first but not Kash Patel
Allen wrote in the paper why this step should be taken. He also said that he had “ranked officials from most important to least important.” He did not include FBI head Kash Patel on his list of people to kill, though.
He also said that police officers and hotel protection were not his main targets unless they had to be. No one was a guest or an employee. He did say, though, that he would “go through most of these people to get to the targets if it had to be done.”
He said he wouldn’t go after Secret Service agents, Capitol Police, or National Guard troops unless it was necessary. “I hope they are wearing body armour,” he wrote. “To keep casualties to a minimum, I will also use buckshot instead of slugs, which go through walls less easily.”
Allen also wrote in one part of his statement why he was going to carry out the killing. “I live in the United States of America and am a citizen.” What my leaders do shows what kind of person I am. He wrote, “I am no longer willing to let a child molester, rapist, and traitor wash my hands of his crimes.”
There was also a “objection” and “rebuttal” section in the gunman’s statement. Allen wrote about the Christian idea of “turning the other cheek” and said, “Turning the other cheek is for when you are being abused.” I’m not the guy who was raped in a prison. I’m not the fisherman who was put to death without a hearing. I’m not a schoolkid who was blown up, a child who was starved, or a young girl who was abused by the many cheats in this government.
There have been complaints that the setting is not safe
Surprisingly, Allen also talked about how there didn’t seem to be enough protection at the Washington Hilton, where Trump and other important people had gone for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
