In the case of the Delhi Liquor Policy, the Delhi High Court came in to stop a trial court from saying certain things about CBI officers. The High Court made the order while hearing a plea from the CBI that was against a decision by a lower court that freed several people who were accused in the case.
Before, the trial court let go of 23 people who were accused, including political leaders, in connection with the claimed problems with the Delhi tax policy. As the judge gave the order, he or she also said some very harsh things about the investigation that the CBI and its staff were doing.
The High Court has now briefly stopped those comments until it has had a chance to fully look into the case.
Notices Sent To 23 People Charged
During the hearing, the High Court sent warnings to all 23 people who the lower court had released. The court told them to answer the CBI appeal that questions the first order.
Notifications were sent to Aam Aadmi Party leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, as well as other people with ties to the case.
The High Court has asked them to send in their answers so that the court can look over all of the reasons and decide if the trial court’s decision should stand or be changed.

The history of the court’s decision
The problem began when, earlier this year, a special court in Delhi freed all the people who were accused in the case. The judge decided that there wasn’t enough proof to keep the criminal case going against them.
In the same order, the court also said some bad things about the investigating officer and the research that the CBI did.
The office was very worried about these words, and they later went to the High Court. The CBI said the comments were pointless and asked the High Court to intervene.
Related proceedings were also pushed back
The High Court chose to put on hold a money-laundering case linked to the booze policy debate while it heard the case. The high court bench led by Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma also sent warnings to 20 other accused people who were found not guilty in the case. These people included Arvind Kejriwal of the AAP, Manish Sisodia of the Congress party, K. Kavitha of Telangana Jagrithi, and others. The case will be heard again on March 16.
The court said the case should be put on hold until the High Court has finished considering the CBI’s challenge to the release order.
This was done to ensure that different court processes for the same case don’t proceed in different ways at the same time.

What Will Happen Next With The Case?
Now, both sides will make their case in detail to the High Court. The suspects will submit their responses to the CBI’s plea, and the court will review all the papers and comments.
The reasons will be examined, and then the High Court will decide whether to uphold the trial court’s order for release or to initiate new legal proceedings.
For now, the trial court’s findings about the CBI officers will not be used against them. The high-profile Delhi booze policy case will go in a new way after the High Court makes its final decision at the next meeting.
