There are major transportation problems in Bengaluru right now because there isn’t enough LPG for cars. Almost half of the city’s autorickshaws are no longer running as their drivers can’t get fuel. This has made things very hard for people who count on cars for short trips and connecting at the last mile.

Autorickshaws are a major mode of transportation in the city. Many people use them to get to and from work, school, and home every day. People are having a hard time getting around as there aren’t enough cars available, especially during rush hour. The lack spread fast across the whole city, hurting both drivers and customers.

There are long lines at gas stations

One of the hardest things for car drivers is that LPG stations don’t always have fuel. A lot of stores are either running out of stock or getting very little. People who are driving have to stop at several gas stations and often wait in long lines for hours.

Autos are lined up outside gas stations in some parts of the city. Sometimes drivers have to wait four or five hours to get more gas. This costs time and makes it harder for them to make money that day. Some drivers have even started parking their cars near gas stations so they can fill up as soon as the gas arrives.

Due to the situation, drivers are frustrated as they can’t plan their work well. As they don’t know when fuel will be available, their daily lives are random and stressful.

A shortage of commercial cylinders has also led to the closure of numerous hotels in the city. The shortage of LPG and CNG for cars has worsened over the past week, leaving people waiting for hours at gas stations.

At gas stations in places like Basaveshwaranagar, Sheshadripuram, Nagarbhavi, Kengeri, JP Nagar, and near Kanteerava Studio in Nandini Layout, there were long lines of cars. There were No Stock signs in some places, and it was said that some private companies were selling gas at twice the price.

Due to the Good Friday holiday and a gas shortage, car services dropped by about 50% on Friday. Many people were seen taking BMTC buses to work.

The price of gas for cars has also gone up sharply. Private stations in places like Yeshwanthpur and Electronic City were said to be selling CNG at Rs 100 to Rs 105 per kg. CNG prices were much higher than LPG prices, which ranged from Rs 70 to Rs 75.

More stress comes from rising prices

It’s even worse now that LPG prices are rising and there is a shortage. The price of gas has gone up a lot, making things harder for drivers who are already struggling, as their income has gone down.

Drivers say the higher price cuts into their profits, even when they can still get gas. The prices of car fares have not gone up, though, so they can’t pass on the higher costs to riders. This has made it hard for many people to keep driving their cars.

High prices and limited supply have made things tough for drivers, who are now stuck between rising costs and falling wages.

Problems with supply caused by global factors

The lack of LPG in Bengaluru is due to global fuel supply issues. International wars have made it harder to move fuel, causing supply problems in many places. Countries that rely on imports are having a hard time making sure they always have power.

India is also affected by these global changes, and places like Bengaluru are feeling them right now. Authorities have said supply is being controlled, but the situation on the ground shows that demand and supply are still not in balance.

The lack shows how global events can have a direct impact on city life, especially when it comes to things like fuel that people need to live.

Commuting is inconvenient every day

It’s not just drivers who are having a hard time. As there are fewer cars on the roads, commuters are also having a hard time. It’s hard to find a car these days, especially in the mornings and nights when demand is high.

There are longer wait times, and many people can’t find rides when they need to. Commuters have had to find other ways to get to work, like taking the bus or using an app, which aren’t always handy or cheap.

For many people, cars are the best way to get around town for short trips. Due to the lack, their daily schedule has been thrown off, making simple things like going to work or running tasks take longer and be more upsetting.

The situation is still uncertain

The current situation remains unclear, and it doesn’t look like there will be an easy way out soon. Even though efforts are underway to increase supply, cars and passengers still face problems every day.

Drivers hope that something is done quickly to lower fuel prices and make it easier to get. If nothing is done soon, the situation could get worse over the next few days.

Right now, Bengaluru has fewer taxis, longer wait times, and higher prices, which makes it hard for thousands of people to get around every day. This shows how important a steady amount of fuel is for keeping city life running smoothly.
