During his two-day visit to the Gulf country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received The First Class of the Order of Oman, Oman’s highest national honor. With the prestigious prize, PM Modi become one of the most renowned leaders in the world.

The Sultanate of Oman bestows its highest national honor, the Order of Oman, on notable international leaders and foreign heads of state. This is the most recent addition to PM Modi‘s esteemed collection of foreign highest civilian honors, which also includes recent accolades like Kuwait’s Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer and Ethiopia’s Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia.

Bahrain (King Hamad Order of the Renaissance)- PM Modi visited Bahrain shortly after his 2019 trip to the United Arab Emirates, which was the first time an Indian leader has visited the country. As he met with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, he received “The King Hamad Order of the Renaissance,” the nation’s highest civilian honor.

Kuwait (Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer)- In December 2024, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah presented PM Modi with the “Mubarak Al-Kabeer Order,” Kuwait’s highest civilian honor, at a ceremony today at Bayan Palace. He received this honor alongside US presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush as well as King Charles III of the United Kingdom.

Oman (Order of Oman)- On Thursday, Sultan Haitham bin Tarik awarded Prime Minister Modi the esteemed First Class of the Order of Oman in recognition of his efforts to fortify bilateral relations. As a result, Prime Minister Modi joins a select group of world leaders and celebrities, such as Nelson Mandela of South Africa and Queen Elizabeth II.

Kuwait (Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer)- In December 2024, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah gave PM Modi the “Mubarak Al-Kabeer Order,” which is the country’s greatest citizen honor. The event took place at Bayan Palace. He got this award along with US presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush and UK king King Charles III.
