Lenskart, which went public earlier this year, said that its “B by Lenskart Smart Glasses” will be on sale by March 2026. This makes it one of many companies spending in the new technology.
Lenskart announced on Saturday that its AI-powered smart glasses will go on sale in the fourth quarter of the current fiscal year. The company is joining the race where big names like Apple and Meta have already entered.

Lenskart, which went public earlier this year, said that its “B by Lenskart Smart Glasses” will be on sale by March 2026. This makes it one of many companies spending in the new technology.
Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal told owners in a letter about the company’s Q2 results that the next smart glasses will be driven by AI and Snapdragon.
B by Lenskart Smart Glasses
Our future smart glasses driven by AI and Snapdragon, are an effort to show that India can lead the next wave of consumer technology with smart, personalised, and globally important goods,” Bansal wrote in the letter.
What is B by Lenskart Smart Glasses?
Lenskart said that its new smart glasses, B, will be available by March 2026. The company wants to “redefine how people experience vision and technology.”
The company said in a statement that it is using a full-stack method to make the smart glasses, which is similar to the way it makes its prescription glasses, which is vertically integrated.
In-house, Lenskart is creating the hardware and making the software and mobile app. Gemini from Google is what makes the AI work.
It said, “This full control gives us ownership of the data ecosystem.”
Because they are made on Qualcomm’s AR1 chip, the glasses can work with prescription lenses.
Features such as UPI, health tracking, and more
The first version of the “B by Lenskart Smart Glasses” has a number of functions, such as
- Pay with UPI.
- Recording what you eat and getting advice is part of health tracking.
- Taking pictures and videos.
- Scanning and translating objects in real time.
- Suggestions that are tailored to you.
The company said, “To quickly add more features, we’ve asked developers to work together and make features for our B Smart glasses.”
With the news, Lenskart is one of the first Indian consumer tech companies to sell AI-powered glasses. It will now compete with goods like the Meta-Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, the Apple Vision Pro, and the Amazon Echo Frames.
Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. started selling its first smart glasses on Thursday. These glasses are driven by Qwen AI models, which is a first for the company in the hardware market. This new product is meant to be like Meta Platforms Inc.’s Ray-Ban smart glasses in the Chinese market. It has cameras, bone conduction mics, and batteries that can be switched out and are listed to last 24 hours.
Lenskart hasn’t said how much the item costs yet. A story from earlier this month by PTI, on the other hand, said that it would be priced in a way that makes sense for Indian users.
